What we're building
MoguMogu
Scan the label. Know your food.
Point your camera at a Japanese food label or barcode. MoguMogu reads it and tells you what is in the product: allergens, animal-derived ingredients, additives. Set your dietary needs once, and every scan is checked against them. Built for people with allergies and dietary restrictions who shop in Japan, where the fine print matters and rarely comes in your language.
Tana
A simple inventory of your kitchen, so you buy what you need and use what you have.
Karute
Your family's allergies, medications, and health notes, kept in one careful place.
Shiori
A reading companion for Japanese learners: texts written for readers, not textbooks.
// about
Small studio, real products
sapporosoft is a one-person software studio in Sapporo, on Japan's northern island of Hokkaido. We make small, opinionated products for daily life: tools that do one job well, stay out of your way, and earn their place on your home screen. Calm over noisy.
Each product starts as something we needed ourselves. MoguMogu began in a supermarket aisle: turning a package over and not being sure what the label was telling you. We built the tool we wished existed, and we use it every day.
sapporosoft was founded by hari, a developer who still answers the support inbox himself. If something we made isn't working for you, we want to hear about it.
